I noticed that you pay $5 a trade. You trade weekly. You will be better off having a brokerage account with MerrillEdge or Wellsfargo where you can get ( respectively )roughly 30 trades or 8 trades a month free?
ReplyDeleteYes, I use $5 as value. Sure there are so many cheaper brokers out there but you can also make trades for $20 if you got a bad one. And if you have a cheap broker, they charge you with high services costs.
ReplyDeleteIf you use Interactive Brokers, you only pay $1 per trade.
I believe that if you hold a $1,000 - $2,000 stake, $5 doesn't matter. That's 0.5%. The daily fluctations are much higher and your next quarter dividend is over $5.
But you have right, If you find a cheaper broker you should use him.
